Just A Few Of The Things The Kodiak Solar Generator Can Power:

Frequently Asked Questions About The Kodiak Solar Generator:
Q: Can I use other solar panels with the Kodiak or just the ones sold by you? A: You can use any solar panels with the Kodiak solar generator as long as you don’t exceed 600 watts and 30 amps input. The Kodiak has a Neutrik input, so if your solar panels have any other connection type you would need an adapter to connect them properly. Q: Can I let the Kodiak sit in my closet after I charge it and only pull it out in an emergency? A: When the Kodiak is fully charged you can store it until needed for an emergency if you would like. We do recommend pulling it out every 3 months though and hooking it to the charger for a bit until it is topped back off. This helps to keep the internal battery in good shape and to keep the unit fully charged. Q: Can I replace the internal lithium-ion battery myself? A: No, the Kodiak must be sent back to Inergy Solar for that to be replaced. The internal lithium-ion battery is rated at 2,000 charge cycles, which if used daily would still last you over 5 years. Q: What type of external batteries can I connect to the Kodiak Solar Generator? A: The best batteries to use are 12V deep cycle (also sometimes called RV or Marine) batteries. You can get these at most of your local auto parts stores as well as places like Wal-mart and Costco. Just make sure they are deep cycle batteries and not normal car batteries. Q: Can I use the Kodiak while it’s charging? A: Yes you can! If the Kodiak is hooked up to solar panels, your vehicle or plugged into your wall outlet you can still use it to power your devices.Have any other questions about the Kodiak Solar Generator?
